Berbera Corridor road hits Togochale as Ethiopia trade surges
The finished asphalt now runs uninterrupted from the port to the Ethiopian border, cutting truck times by up to a third.

Wajaale — The final 26-kilometre stretch of the Berbera-to-Wajaale corridor was opened to freight traffic this week, completing a 250-kilometre paved link between the port and Ethiopia's Somali region.
Trucking firms report round-trip times to Jigjiga falling from 22 hours to about 14, and Ethiopian importers are already rerouting fertiliser and consumer-goods shipments away from Djibouti for cost tests.
Somaliland's finance ministry projects transit fees will contribute roughly nine percent of non-tax revenue in the coming fiscal year.
